2. Eligibility Criteria for NHM UP CHO Recruitment 2024
- Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must have a B.Sc. in Nursing with an Integrated Certificate in Community Health for Nurses (CCHN) or a Post-Basic B.Sc. in Nursing with the same certification from an institute recognized by the Nursing Council of India.
- Candidates without this CCHN certification may also be considered if they commit to obtaining it within a specified timeframe.
- Age Limit and Relaxation
- The age limit is a crucial eligibility factor. For NHM UP CHO recruitment:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years (General Category)
- Age relaxation is provided as per the guidelines of the Government of India:
- OBC Candidates: Relaxation of up to 3 years
- SC/ST Candidates: Relaxation of up to 5 years
- PwD Candidates: Further relaxation might be available; candidates should consult the official notification.Age Limit:

- Health Promotion and Awareness: Conducting health awareness programs to educate communities about various health issues.
- Screening and Referrals: Screening individuals for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer, and making referrals to higher healthcare facilities if needed.
- Community Outreach and Monitoring: Monitoring health indicators within the community, engaging in preventive healthcare measures, and ensuring continuity of care.
